One day I was riding my bike, and I fell off the curb
One day I was riding my bike, and I fell off the curb. My friend's mom was scared because my face was bleeding. But my mommy came to help me.
I go to a Christian Science Sunday School and my teacher is a Christian Science practitioner. I called her to pray with me. Since it was almost Halloween, my teacher told me I could think of the cuts and scrapes as a mask, and not the real me, because I am the child of God.
My face never hurt, and it healed quickly. I'm glad I can always trust God.

I'd like to verify my daughter's testimony.
Ameri, then age six, was riding her bike up and down our block one day while I was giving piano lessons. Just as one student departed, a frightened neighbor came rushing up to tell me that Ameri had fallen off the curb and had landed on her face. As I left to get my daughter, I thanked the neighbor and assured her everything would be all right. I felt calm and declared that God's care for His children is constant. I knew that no accidents could occur in divine Mind.
I carried Ameri home singing Hymn No. 207 from the Christian Science Hymnal. (The words of this hymn were written by Mrs. Eddy, and begin: "O gentle presence, peace and joy and power....") Afterward I washed Ameri's face and read her a children's article from a copy of the Sentinel as she rested. She calmed down immediately and wanted to call her Sunday School teacher. Fortunately, my next piano student didn't come on time, so I had an additional opportunity to pray quietly with my daughter. Her face was swollen and scraped, and her lip was cut, but she said she felt no pain.
When we reached Ameri's Sunday School teacher, she brought out the thought that the injuries were like a mask, which would try to hide the true image of God's child. She prayed for Ameri for three days or so. During that time Ameri played in a piano recital, with no thought of the injuries at all. You could tell by the feeling expressed in her music.
It was a growing experience for Ameri to see the power of God in action. Her face healed quickly, leaving absolutely no scars or marks of any kind. She was thankful for the help she received from her Sunday School teacher.
