One morning I woke up with a slight headache and told my mom about it. That afternoon there was a ballet rehearsal, but I told my mom I'd be Ok. However, about an hour later at rehearsal I had trouble seeing. Soon I couldn't walk straight. Everyone kept saying, "Oh, Mollie, you look so sick. Do you want to sit down?" I kept remembering that God made me, so I couldn't really be sick.
As soon as I got home, my mother called a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me. Then Mom put me to bed and read me the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly. We talked over the lesson section by section. Soon I fell asleep. When I woke up, I was healed. I got up and ate my supper without any trouble. I'm so grateful for the help of the practitioner.
Another experience I had was when I went horseback riding at a resort where my sister worked. We had heard that some of the horses were hard to handle. The night before we were to go, my mother woke and felt disturbed. She prayed and knew that God was always with me. Next day at the resort, we rode the trail, and I had no major problems. But right after I'd got off the horse at the end of the ride, another horse kicked mine. My horse reared and fell over on its side, but no one was injured—not even the horse. I was so glad that Mom had prayed for me.
I give all my thanks to Christian Science for everything it has done for my friends and me. You hear of healings every day. I've had too many to count. My mom, dad, sisters, brother, and cat have all had healings too.

Our daughter's physical healing took place on a Saturday. The previous Monday she had brought home a note from school saying that one of her classmates had strep throat and that the whole group had been exposed. Mollie and I talked about her own spiritual identity and about the true nature of each one of her classmates. We affirmed that they were all God's ideas and discussed the fact that only love is really contagious.
But when her best friend came to visit on Wednesday, all I heard from the visitor was how frightened the children were of the illness. I realized that more prayerful work must be done to overcome fear, which seemed to be gripping the students and faculty.
On Saturday, when Mollie came home from rehearsal, she was feverish and in pain. I called the practitioner, then Mollie and I read and talked about the lesson. Soon she fell into a deep and natural sleep. When she woke two hours later, she was completely free. There were no traces of the fever or pain. We all rejoiced in the quickness and completeness of the healing. I am also grateful that, to my knowledge, no other child at the rehearsal exhibited these symptoms.
The incident with the horses occurred as our daughter has written. I was standing nearby when the horse was kicked. It happened not more than a minute after Mollie had dismounted, and she was standing just a few feet away.
We have four children, three of whom are now grown, and Science has been a sure remedy whenever problems have arisen. I deeply appreciate the practitioners, who are so selfless in their response to our calls for help. Above all, it's wonderful to know that our dear Father is always with us, and that we may turn to Him at any time.
