I would like to tell a healing I had after a fall

I would like to tell a healing I had after a fall. One day I was on the new playground equipment at school. I was sliding down the fire pole, which I like to do. When I was almost at the bottom, I tried to get up. But I couldn't, because my foot was twisted underneath me. Then I started to cry very hard.

Two of my girlfriends came running to me and said, "Are you all right?" I told them, "It hurts, but I'm OK." They helped me to the principal's office, then the secretary took me to the nurse. The nurse was very kind, and she took my shoe and sock off. My foot was swollen, so she bandaged it for support. She asked if I needed some crutches. I said yes, because I could not walk on the foot.

When my mother picked me up after school, we talked about God's love for His children, and about Hymn 278 in the Christian Science Hymnal, which says, "Walk thou with courage each step of the way." I also thought about Hymn 139, which starts, "I walk with Love along the way." These are sung in the Christian Science Sunday School, where I go. When we arrived home, I called a Christian Science practitioner, and she said she would pray for me. v

During the week my Girl Scout troop was getting ready for a fashion show to be held in a store. When I was picking out my clothes, the lady in charge saw me on crutches and asked me, "Will you be able to be in the fashion show?" I answered her firmly, "Yes!" By the day of the show, I was healed and walked into the store without crutches. When I came through the door to face the audience, the announcer said, "Sally had been on crutches for three days, and we are so happy to have her in the show without them."

I am very grateful for this healing. I love to attend the Christian Science Sunday School, and sometimes I go to the Wednesday testimony meetings.
