I have never sent in a testimony to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for Mrs. Eddy, who gave us such a clear understanding of God, Christ Jesus, and the Bible.

A dear friend gave me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy at a time when I truly needed it. I read a little but did not seem to understand, and gave it back after a few weeks. A year later during the Depression, when we were struggling to get along, this same friend gave me the book again. This time I devoured it, reading every spare moment. My husband also read. People began asking me what I was doing for myself. I looked so much better, and I felt like a different person. I had had an instantaneous healing of what had been diagnosed an inward goiter.

In our family we have had healings of nervous exhaustion, palsy, kidney stones, shingles, and heart convulsions. These latter attacks seemed to occur every two months until fear for my husband and of the frightening aspect was overcome. The attacks stopped, and with treatment by a dedicated Christian Science practitioner and hours of study came a complete healing. We learned to deny this affliction and know that God did not make fear or error of any kind, and that such a condition could not exist where all space is filled with God.

My hearing was restored after seven years of partial loss of hearing, when I was healed of an infection in the ears. This occurred when I realized I had been holding resentment against two members of my family and replaced it with love. They never knew I was resenting, and I am thankful for this.

I am grateful for the practitioners, for protection for my family and myself, for healing of grief, and for knowing that God fills all space. He is right where we are, supplying all our needs. I am grateful, too, to be a member of The Mother Church and a branch church.
