I would like to express my gratitude for all the healings that my family have had since we heard of Christian Science many years ago.

The first was that of a mastoid condition of our young daughter, which the doctor had said must be operated on immediately. We had until the next morning to think it over before giving our consent. My parents came that evening, from a distant state, and learning of our problem, asked if we would like to try Christian Science, which they had recently found. We said we would. We located a Christian Science practitioner, and were given an appointment. When we returned, the child was well. An instantaneous healing.

A son had a broken leg set perfectly through prayer. It was healed in three days.

Another daughter was healed of what was diagnosed as an allergy to so many things that there would have been little she could eat.

A healing of my own of a severe windburn has been very precious to me because it was the first I had through my own prayerful effort without the help of a practitioner. We had gone to the beach, and I had sat a long while in the wind, not knowing that was supposed to cause as bad a burn as the sun. By evening it was evident that both legs were badly burned, and the next evening they were very swollen and discolored. We had no phone in the cottage, and to find a place from which to phone a practitioner was going to be difficult and take time. I was suffering so greatly that I felt I had to have help immediately.

Then the angel message came to me that I had right there with me in the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy the same help a practitioner would have to apply. Then it was almost as if a voice spoke to me, telling me to read the nineth-first Psalm. As I did this, a great sense of peace and calm came to me, and the words I was reading had never seemed so beautiful. I then opened Science and Health and read (p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." I soon fell asleep, and awakened in the morning free of pain, ready to enjoy our vacation.

I am very grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, in which it has been my privilege to serve in many ways, in the office of Second Reader and as librarian in the Reading Room.

Class instruction from a dedicated teacher fulfilled a wish for a deeper knowledge of God's healing presence.

Words cannot express my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for having given us this wonderful gift of Christian Science, the healing message of Christ Jesus.
