I HAVE A FATHER I HAVE A MOTHER

Jimmy thinks we're not a whole family
because at home there is just me and Mommy.
But I have a FATHER! He protects me and corrects me.
He gives me His strength. If I listen,
His thoughts tell me how to act.
He shows me where to walk and play safely.
If people say I'm sick, His truth makes me well.
Whatever I need, He gives it.
He knows I love Him.
I have a FATHER, and it's GOD.

Daddy and I live together, just us two.
But I'm never sad.
Because I have a MOTHER! One who watches
me in the daytime, and comforts me at night.
One who teaches me how to love my friends,
and never to be dishonest.
One that I can
say "Thank You" to for all my good.
One who is always close by me.
I have a MOTHER, and it's GOD.
