The Star Appeared

Whenever any one of us longs to understand himself in a spiritual rather than a material sense, the Christ comes in some way and says, "To you this day the true idea of yourself as the child of God will appear. When you recognize this true idea, you will lose your fear. If you are sick, you will be healed. If you have sinful thoughts, they will be purified. If you feel neglected, you will know that you are loved. If you are depressed, you will sing with joy."

The Christ brings us the true idea of ourselves because Christ is the true idea of God, and we are God's ideas, God's reflection. God is our Life. The true idea of our Life seems to be had from our vision in material belief, but God, Life, is also Love, and Love does not forsake us, leaving us to suffer in our false beliefs. It sends its true idea to our consciousness to lift us out of those beliefs.

Since time began, this true idea of Life and Love has been appearing to mankind. Whoever has received it has found its awakening, strengthening, comforting light dispelling the darkness of his material belief. Actually the idea appears always to everyone, but not everyone is willing or ready to turn from the darkness. Christ Jesus spoke of this as the condemnation of the unbeliever. He said, "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." John 3:19;
