To the many testimonies of the healing power of Christian Science I should like to add my own.

When our son, a Christian Science Sunday School pupil, was twelve years old, he fell, while running about in a garden, over a low wall into a cellar corridor that was fifteen feet deep. I was in the house and heard him cry out, and ran to him immediately. On the way there, I firmly and resolutely declared, 'Nothing has happened"; and I also called this out to him, for it was evening and I could not see him in the darkness.

Loving hands carried him into a room and placed him on a couch. He had severe pains in his back and an injured foot. When I was alone with him for a moment, I turned to the Bible, which was lying on a table next to the couch, to provide myself with spiritual strength. Then I telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner for help.

The next morning the pains in his back disappeared; the foot, however, was badly swollen. I asked the practitioner for another treatment. Our son was lying on the couch, and his foot was giving him pain. My daughter covered the foot so that he would not see it. He was told that the metaphysical work had been done and that he would feel it, as faithful prayer to God is always answered. Of this I was firmly convinced.

About two o'clock he suddenly said, "Oh, there was a cracking sound just now, and I feel a warm current flowing into my foot!" We knew that the healing was complete. My husband, who had followed the event with a trembling heart, saw the proof of the healing power of Truth. Weeks later, during an examination at school, it was established that the foot was perfectly in order and that flat feet, which our son had previously had, were also healed by the Christian Science treatment he had received.

Bronchial asthma and biliousness have been healed in my family, and housing problems have been solved. Through the study and application of the teachings in our textbooks, the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, stomach trouble and hardness of hearing were healed. I was able to experience the birth of our youngest child without pain. There have been instances of lost property retrieved.

For all these wonderful healings and experiences, for the faithful help of our practitioners, for all the activities of our church, the Sunday School, and class instruction, and above all, for the spiritual understanding that gives us deep peace, I am wholeheartedly grateful.
