Let's Claim All Our Exemptions

Mrs. Eddy's clear exposition in Science and Health of why we suffer and from what we suffer will be helpful to anyone struggling with a belief of a sick body, of friction at work or at home, of restricted supply to meet one's needs, or of any form of darkened experience. She says, "Let us remember that the eternal law of right, though it can never annul the law which makes sin its own executioner, exempts man from all penalties but those due for wrong-doing." Science and Health, p. 385;

Since we understand in Christian Science that all true law has its source in divine Principle and Principle is Love, only that which emanates from Love has power to be expressed in man's experience. Claiming this fact is entering our protest against whatever seems to be negatively affecting our human sense of self. However, before we can make this protest effective, we must honestly examine our inmost thoughts.

There can be no glossing over of our motives. We must boldly and bluntly ask ourselves what our motives are. And we must answer carefully.
