In 1964 I badly hurt my shoulder and side. For two days every movement was painful. I tried to understand that there are no accidents in the creation of Mind, but the pain remained and breathing was very difficult. Then I remembered a phrase from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy which had brought healing to me many years ago. It is (p. 6), "Divine Love corrects and governs man." I thought, "This is as true now as it has always been," and I felt at peace, though the pain and distress continued. But that night I was able to sleep comfortably; so much so, that when I awakened in the morning, forgetting about the hurt, I sat up very suddenly. As I did so, I experienced what I can only call a tearing sensation inside. My first thought was, "Now you've done it properly." Then I immediately thought: "Of course it is done properly. This is God correcting and governing." And so it proved to be.

I found that the whole condition had been put right, and I thought no more about it until some days later. Then I suddenly realized that a condition of the heart which had been frightening me for some years was also completely healed.

Over a period of years I have experienced or have witnessed in my family healings of dislocated joints, throat infections, pneumonia, mastoiditis, grief, and depression.

I am most grateful for the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, by means of which Mrs. Eddy so illuminated the teachings of Christ Jesus. This key to the Scriptures has made it possible for us, in some measure, to put into practice the teachings of our Master, who came for the salvation of the whole world.
