For eight months my mother and I had taken every human footstep to sell our home. After listing it with real estate brokers who brought many prospective buyers, we became anxious and disturbed over the numerous excuses and varied complaints about the property. We knew that there was only one Mind operating, but we realized that some prayerful thinking was needed away from mortal struggles. So the home, was closed, and we took a week's vacation for the purpose of prayer and study.

After attending the Wednesday evening testimony meeting in the Christian Science Society in the small resort town where we were staying, we met one of the clerks from our hotel. She was a Scientist and told us of an experience she had just gone through in selling her home located in another state. Now, she knew nothing of our struggle; but by sharing with us her blessing, she gave us needed comfort and renewed strength to return home to see the conclusion of this problem.

Because an anxious thought still persisted even after we had returned home, a Christian Science practitioner was called to give us support. An advertisement was placed in the local paper for Sunday. Only two people responded; but by Tuesday the escrow was started, and it was finished in ten days. The price realized from the sale was above any amount previously listed, and all concerned were truly blessed.

Another experience which I should like to relate is that of a physical nature. Three years ago a lump on my back began to enlarge to alarming proportions. During this time I declared that the real man of God's creation is perfect, without blemish, and I studied from Mrs. Eddy's writings, but the condition did not yield. Therefore, I began to search my consciousness and to pray that God would reveal the error in my consciousness that needed to be removed.

Several months later, on a Monday morning, after my arrival at my office pain paralyzed me, and I was unable to leave my desk. Since there had been little discomfort from the lump on my back until this moment, I became quite fearful and called a practitioner for help. While I was talking with her, the pain subsided and along with it the overwhelming fear. On Wednesday, the lump opened.

The practitioner continued to help me for seven days, at the end of which time there was little evidence of the error. The healing was complete within two months. During this period a business situation which had plagued me for a long time was resolved, and much progress has ensued.

I am grateful not only for these two healings which took time to accomplish but also for many quick healings. Perhaps even more wonderful is the protective power afforded us through the daily study and application of the truths contained in the Bible and the writings of Mrs. Eddy.
