Through glimpses of the scientific facts of being and a deep desire to act according to God's will, my family and I were led safely to this country, without any monetary means except our boat tickets.

Two weeks after our arrival I was notified of having been accepted as a member of The Mother Church. What that meant to me, words cannot describe. I had lost my original citizenship; I was an immigrant without any roots yet in a foreign land, as I thought, and here I held in my hands the document stating I belonged to The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God" (Eph. 2:19).

Many times supply appeared when seemingly all human sources were dried up.

Some years later, as the result of an accident, one of my upper front teeth became rapidly almost black. A noted dentist said that no medical help could stop the darkening process since the nerve of the tooth had been killed. I consulted two other dentists of prominence. They said the same.

During these weeks I rehearsed a television show and auditioned for, and was given, a part in a Broadway play. All the time I struggled to speak with a pulleddown lip, since the dark front tooth appeared like a hole caused by a missing tooth, threatening to make it impossible for me to fulfill my professional obligations.

In spite of what the dentists said, I would not admit that this condition was beyond the healing power of Christian Science. So I asked a consecrated practitioner to give me treatment. Within a few weeks the tooth became lighter and lighter till it had regained almost its original color. Neither on television, film, nor stage was any discoloration ever noticed thereafter. This experience occurred twelve years ago, and there has been no further trouble in connection with this tooth. It was another triumphant proof of the truth expressed by our Master, Christ Jesus (Matt. 19:26), "With God all things are possible."

I was also healed of arthritis at an advanced stage through the powerful work of the same practitioner. I had let the disease incapacitate me partially, having suffered from it for almost two years, but a complete healing freed me in a couple of months. This took place eight years ago, and I have been as vigorously active in various sports since then as formerly.

Active church membership and class instruction have meant for me protection, enrichment, and a grand education. Whatever good has come into my life, I owe to Christian Science. And to think that I am only one among millions whose lives have been purified through Mrs. Eddy's revelation and through her unshakable determination to make her discovery available to suffering mankind that they might be saved! I thank Thee, Father-Mother God, for our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, for Mrs. Eddy, and for Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Lilia Skala, Elmhurst, New York.
