Honest Prayer for Peace on Earth

Since the day of Christ Jesus' birth, peace on earth and good will to men have been the hope of the peace-loving individual. Peace has now become a necessity for the survival of mankind.

Through the revelation of Truth in Christian Science we may learn how to pray correctly. But as we learn we find that honesty is essential to correctness. In praying for peace we learn to affirm the oneness and allness of Mind and to deny the belief of many minds; to affirm harmony as the fact of Mind and to deny discord as a lie of so-called mortal mind; to affirm divine Love as the only Spirit, the only motive power of Mind or man, and to deny mortal self, or personal sense, as spiritless, powerless nothingness.

Through such prayer we come to understand the law of Love—the Love which is the Principle of the universe and the Soul of individual man—and to demonstrate in our own human experience the presence and the action of this law.
