Christian Science was brought to my attention about forty-five years ago by a neighbor who saw my great need for healing. Through her prayers, I received my first cure in Science, that of an ulcerated tooth.

Some years later, after I had become a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church, I was healed of heat prostration. One of the family, although only a child, was called to my bedside and asked to pray for me in the way we are taught in Science. I was well in a very short time.

In the intervening years, I have witnessed many healings in the family, including those of measles, smallpox, and scarlet fever.
