Through the study of Christian Science, I have had many wonderful healings. At one time, when getting into a friend's car, I wrenched my foot. I distinctly heard something snap, and there was great pain. I could think only of the first line of "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health, p. 468), which reads, "There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter." I held to this until we reached our destination, but found on getting out of the car that I could not walk without assistance.

While I was going upstairs, a portion of a verse from Hebrews came to my thought, "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword." As soon as I got to my room I looked it up. I read the whole chapter with profit. The next day there was improvement, and on the third day I was walking quite normally.

During that week, to my dismay, the condition returned in a worse form. I studied the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly, the subject of which was "Christ Jesus." I found it a wonderful help.

A copy of the Christian Science Sentinel had come by post that morning. The second article arrested my attention. It was entitled "Soul's Creations Alone Are Real." From the first line I was interested, and the writer gave an experience which he had had that was somewhat similar to mine. It caused me to recall that while living in South Africa I had had an accident and had been taken to hospital, although I had been released within three hours after stating that I was a Christian Scientist.

I now realized as I read the Sentinel article that the mental picture of the accident had never been destroyed. I got busy, and the whole incident was destroyed in my consciousness with the truth that man, being a spiritual idea of God, was never involved in an accident. The next day my foot was normal and has remained so.

Recently I went to visit a niece who lives in another town and who is not a student of Christian Science. On my arrival she told me that four members of the family were ill with what was thought to be food poisoning. I partook of meals with my niece, and on my journey back home I began to feel quite ill. I endeavored to realize the allness of God, good, and the nothingness of disease or inharmony of any kind. I also declared that as a perfect child of God, I could not be tempted to feel ill.

After I returned home the symptoms became aggravated; but I continued to claim my freedom as a child of God, and I declared this truth from "the scientific statement of being": "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all."

The Bible Lesson for that week was a great help to me. I then read the definition of "fan," which is given in Science and Health (p. 586). It reads, "Separator of fable from fact; that which gives action to thought." I saw clearly that I must separate fable from fact. At this point my heart was so filled with gratitude for Christ Jesus and for our dear Leader for her wonderful discovery and revelation of Truth that the sickness entirely disappeared, and I felt well.

Christian Science has also healed me of severe headaches, sore throat, and colds, and I have had many demonstrations of supply.
