I should like to express my gratitude...

I should like to express my gratitude again, through the periodicals, for Christian Science. The healings mentioned in a former testimony many years ago have been permanent.

During the past several years my religion has not only helped me to maintain a state of good health, but it has also given me the way of Life. I have seen many business problems solved, and I have been protected when I have listened for God's guidance.

I should like to relate two demonstrations of God's power which have meant much to me. One was a physical healing, the other the solution of a business problem. The physical condition would probably have been called rheumatism. This healing was accomplished through the consecrated work of a Christian Science practitioner and my own steadfast reliance on God.

A hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal (No. 139), the first line of which reads, "I walk with Love along the way," helped me to maintain poise and gratitude during this time. The condition was completely overcome in about six months. Few were aware that I was faced with it, for I was able throughout the experience to perform my duties as an usher in a branch church and to be active to a degree in a sport that requires much walking.

A while ago it seemed wise to dispose of an apartment building which had been owned by the family for a number of years. I placed it in a realtor's hands, and I also had help from a practitioner, not in order to sell the building particularly, but to aid mc in demonstrating right activity. I felt that as long as this was my work, I could be happy in doing it, but I knew that God alone governed the situation.

This went on for several months, and not much activity was shown. Early in May, when the contract with the realtor had expired, I took the property off the market. I had been accepted for class instruction and felt I wanted to devote more time to preparation. About two weeks before I was to leave for class, a realtor whom I had not been in touch with before called to ask if the building was still for sale. I told him it was, and a satisfactory transaction was finished before time for class.

I have also been healed of grief at the passing on of my husband. The Lesson-Sermons on "Life" and "Reality"' from the Quarterly have meant much to me in working out this situation.

In closing I should like to express gratitude for the good work of practitioners, for membership in The Mother Church, for membership and activity in a branch church, and for class instruction. —(Mrs.) Lillian E. Eberhardt, Topeka, Kansas.
