Since Christian Science came into my home, there have been many healings, and I want to share some of them with others. In March, 1929, I had a short testimony in the Sentinel telling of my daughter's healing of what had been diagnosed as tuberculosis.

When this daughter entered high school, she had a goiter. Another daughter had what the school nurse said were adenoids and enlarged tonsils. I obtained a card from our Christian Science Committee on Publication and gave it to the school principal, asking him to excuse my children from further examinations by the school nurse or doctor, because I was going to have Christian Science treatment for them.

I then called a practitioner whom I had never seen but who was listed in The Christian Science Journal. I myself studied faithfully the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly as well as other passages from the Bible and Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discover and Founder of Christian Science. My daughters received their complete healings within a very short time. After I had studied the lesson each morning, my housework was easier for me.

I have never been in a hospital, nor have I taken or given medicine to my children since my introduction to Christian Science. I have had four children, and all were born under Christian Science treatment, attended only by a midwife who was a Christian Scientist.

Mortal mind tells us pain is necessary, but Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p.241), "There is no necessity for pain." I have proved this truth and have seen it proved many times.

Mrs. Eddy says of Christian Science (ibid., pp. 252, 253), "Yea, it is the pearl priceless whereof our Master said, if a man findeth, he goeth and selleth all that he hath and buyeth it," and it has been to me "the pearl priceless."

When my husband passed on, I was sustained and comforted by many Christian Science friends. When I turned to God with complete confidence and asked to be shown a place to live, within two days I found an apartment that met my needs and was situated within walking distance of a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and the business section of town.

I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, for our Christian Science literature, and for the radio and television programs, "How Christian Science Heals." It is a glorious privilege for me to be near a church, having lived many years where there was no Christian Science church or society. Nevertheless, I look back on those years with gratitude, for they taught me to appreciate Christian Science and to exercise patience and perseverance in my study of this wonderful religion.
