The following is just one of the many experiences that I have had which have convinced me of the truth of the Scriptural passages (Luke 15:31): "Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine," and (Matt. 28:20), "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world."

When I was still of Sunday School age, I was using a sickle to cut the grass near the rose bushes, and I accidentally cut off the end of one of my fingers. This was completely healed through the study and application of Christian Science. It has never bothered me in my work as a typist and tele-printer or in my reperforation work.

Another passage from the Bible that has helped me is from Isaiah and reads (59:1), "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear."

One afternoon I was out swimming with some friends. One of them who was just learning to swim was using water wings which the current moved from his shoulders to his hips, allowing his head to go down. He called to me to come and help him.

This was my first experience in helping anyone while swimming, and when my friend took hold of me we both went down. Through relying on divine Mind to guide me in saving both of us, I found the right procedure was followed in an orderly way.

Although we had both nearly drowned and were still out beyond our depth, I was able to bring my friend to the surface. I then asked him to give me his hand and to kick and stroke and I would pull him to a depth in which we could wade. He did this, and both of us were saved. Neither of us had any ill effects from the experience.
