AIDS IN HEALING THE SICK

In his divinely inspired instructions to his disciples, Christ Jesus included the command (Matt. 10: 8), "Heal the sick." In these words the Master has also bidden each of us to heal and comfort his fellow men.

When we realize that Jesus' mission was for the salvation of all mankind and for all time, we should recognize that this command applies to every single one of us today. The words of the humble Nazarene were not intended only for his immediate disciples.

The Way-shower said (John 15: 12), "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." As we comprehend the spiritual import of the words, "as I have loved you," the meaning of this commandment will be made clear, and we shall see that it really implies a demand to heal the sick. When we love as Jesus loved, we shall see man as he really is, perfect, lovely, and lovable.
