Christian Science has been the only healing agent in our home for over forty years, and I should like to share one of the many healings with which we have been blessed.

Because of financial stress in our family, I decided to help by taking in roomers and boarders, an arrangement which allowed me to be at home with our three small children. The demand became so great that I literally worked day and night, having only the help which my husband could give during the evening and early morning hours. We continued thus for over three years and were very thankful to keep abreast of our obligations.

However, I began to sag physically and to feel sorry for myself. Presently there developed a very sensitive growth on the upper part of my body, and occasional periods of sickness left me weak and spent. I said nothing, but one evening my husband witnessed my trouble and was alarmed. I asked him not to be afraid, only to call for help.

He called the practitioner who had been working for me, and by morning I was better. But I decided to get to the bottom of the trouble and learn to stand alone instead of always calling for help.

I set out to bring every thought into obedience to Truth and to give more time to the study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly. If I felt harassed or driven, I left what I was doing and sought quiet communion with God. I found that Love was always present to uplift and bless me, and through my persistent contending for the truth, the error consistently grew less.

As I learned to live each moment for God, my fears and resentment loosened their tenacious hold, and the nagging trouble disappeared. Our financial outlook brightened, and we were enabled to take a smaller place, just for the family. Each day since has brought cause for rejoicing and thanksgiving for Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Gertrude G. Graham, Rumson, New Jersey.
