I give this testimony to express...

I give this testimony to express my gratitude to God for Christ Jesus' teaching and example and for Mrs. Eddy's wonderful revelation of the truth. This truth has helped me beyond measure to meet problems, large and small, to prove God's law of health, and to "train up a child in the way he should go" (Prov. 22:6).

I am especially grateful for a higher sense of what it means to let God's will be done. When we understand how to put God first, we can prove that as His beloved children we are cared for every minute. We have only to bring our thinking into line with the ever-present consciousness of Love, and when we succeed in doing so, inharmony melts away. We then realize that actually only good is present all the time.

One of our children had a fall from a tree. Because the condition appeared grave and my fear was great, I telephoned a Christian Science practitioner, who prayerfully worked for the child and told me that all of us were to fill our thoughts with joy. While I was studying references from Mrs. Eddy's works, including her hymns, my fear was cast out. In two days the child was perfectly well, climbing the same tree, and able to go back to school.

One night on going to bed I could not sleep because of the discomfort of chest pains, I then turned my thoughts to a Christian Science lecture which I had recently heard and which had beautifully explained God as perfect cause and man as perfect effect. As my thoughts changed from the material to the spiritual, the pain entirely vanished.

These are only two of the many healings we have had in our family through the application of Christian Science. I acknowledge my deep gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me and mine. My great desire is to learn more of God and of man's relationship to Him.—(Mrs.) Mary Weston-Webb, Cambridge, England.

I am very happy to corroborate my wife's testimony and to echo her gratitude for the healings and blessings that have come to our family through the study of Christian Science. I am especially grateful for a constant sense of purpose and progress—one of many things that were previously lacking in my experience—and for continual well-being, which is sometimes so easily taken for granted. I find Christian Science to be a constant source of much-needed daily inspiration and enthusiasm to me in my work as a schoolmaster. Finally, I am increasingly grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church and for all the activities of The Christian Science Publishing Society.
