I am so grateful for Christian Science

I am so grateful for Christian Science. It has taught me that God is All-in-all. I was like the woman in the Bible who had suffered much and had spent all that she had trying to be cured, but only grew worse.

One doctor told me there was not a medicine in the drugstore that would cure me. Another doctor said I had a complication of ailments, including neuralgia, constipation, anemia, and bladder trouble. I was taking thirteen doses of medicine every day.

This was my condition when Christian Science was presented to me. I accepted it at once and started reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The one who presented Science to me let me read his copy of this textbook part of the time, since there was no Reading Room nearby. We lived half a block apart, and my son, who was then in grade school, would go and get the book at the noon hour. I would read it until school was out, and then my son would take it back.

It was only a short time until I had my healing. One night I awakened and found that blood had been discharged from my nose. Evidently mental surgery had taken place, for I felt as free as a bird. The heavy burden of illness was lifted, and I was so happy. I could move without the pain which I had suffered for seven long years. This healing came in the fall of 1929, and there has been no return of any of the ailments.
