I am deeply grateful that I had the wonderful opportunity of starting my religious education in a Christian Science Sunday School when I was only three years old. I experienced the healing of a troublesome case of bronchitis as well as a severe nervous condition, accompanied by insomnia.

My most important healing was that of hemorrhoids, which had been giving me discomfort from time to time for some years. The attacks became more frequent and finally continuous. The steady pain was almost unbearable, and the discomfort of a fistula was added to my difficulties. I turned to a Christian Science practitioner for help, and after some time I was completely free from all pain and discomfort. There has been no return of the hemorrhoids.

I know that I made spiritual progress during this experience, and I am really grateful. Also I am grateful to know that as I was given a proof of the healing Christ, everyone can have the same blessing, no matter what the human need may be.

During World War II, Christian Science protected our sons and sustained us completely. I had fear to overcome, especially since the younger boy was a paratrooper. This fear was healed, and as I look back I am overwhelmed with awe and reverence for our Father-Mother God, who cares for His children at all times.

Christian Science has been my one inspiration in my work as a dress designer, and the firm I have been with for about eighteen years has grown from a small beginning to a large and highly successful business. I am thankful for the high moral standard of living which our religion requires, and I pray every day to be a better Christian Scientist. In referring to each day's demand for proofs of healing, Mrs. Eddy says (Science and Health, p. 233), "This is an element of progress, and progress is the law of God, whose law demands of us only what we can certainly fulfil."
