I attended a Christian Science Sunday School all through my childhood, and later I became a member of The Mother Church and a branch church. Many years ago I had class instruction.

Our daughter, who was healed instantaneously of deafness over ten years ago, came home from junior high school showing symptoms of polio, which was prevalent at that time. She lay down, and we both studied Christian Science earnestly. However, before long she was unable to rise, and I telephoned the same practitioner who had helped us at the time our daughter was healed of deafness.

When I returned to the bedroom, I found that the girl was entirely paralyzed on one side. I went again to the telephone and called the practitioner. My report was met with such instant and complete dismissal of the material evidence that all fear was destroyed. In her affirmation of Truth, the practitioner quoted Mrs. Eddy's statement (Science and Health, p. 264), "Spirit and its formations are the only realities of being."

Returning to the bedroom I found the child up and dressing, radiant with joy and freedom. This healing took place about nine years ago, and there has been no return of the difficulty. Our daughter has led a very active life since that time.
