I have often testified orally to the benefits I have received from Christian Science. Now I wish to do so in writing, in the hope that others will be helped.

Science was introduced to me by a practitioner by whom I was employed. She encouraged me to declare that God was my protection, and this I did audibly and mentally many times a day. At one time while in high school I was confined to my bed with a severe cold and a fever. My mother, not being a Christian Scientist, offered me a material remedy, but I refused it and relied solely on God for my healing. I read in the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 220), "Colds, coughs, and contagion are engendered solely by human theories." This truth and others brought about my healing.

At another time I had an unsightly growth on my eyelid. One day when I was reading the textbook this statement stood out forcefully p. 463): "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." Soon afterward the growth on the eyelid disappeared.

In the Bible is this wonderful prophecy concerning the Messiah (Isa. 7:15): "Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good." I am grateful that today through the Christ, Truth, revealed by Mrs. Eddy we can indeed "refuse the evil, and choose the good." I cannot close without expressing gratitude for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower. Also I wish to give thanks to God for protecting me during the four years I was in the armed forces.—Andrew Price.
