It has long been my desire to write a testimony of gratitude for the blessings I have received through the study and application of Christian Science. By the time I was about thirty-eight years of age I had been a member of three churches of different denominations, but I did not find the understanding of Truth I was looking for. Then I attended a lecture on Christian Science which was very revealing, and I glimpsed something of the Principle of Science.

I was employed in a department store, and one day I was taken with severe pains. The doctor who was called told me that I had sciatic rheumatism. Endeavoring to work out my own salvation, I knew the truth of God as All-in-all, the unreality of error, and the nothingness of matter; and I was healed.

Some time later I was attacked in the night by nausea and severe pain. A doctor told me I had kidney stones. When I had two or three more such attacks I was told that I should have an X ray, as there might be need of an operation. My husband and I were getting ready to go into the country to start a chicken ranch. I knew no doctor would be available there, and I asked myself what I should do. Then I reasoned with myself and decided that I knew enough of God as Principle, Love, to trust Him for the solution of the problem. I threw away the medicine I had received from the doctor and trusted God. That was many years ago, and there has been no recurrence of the trouble.

Membership in The Mother Church and a branch church and class instruction have blessed me greatly. Now at eighty-six years of age I enjoy very good health, am active in church work, and have been able to help others with their problems. I am deeply grateful to our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, through whose consecrated life and work the world can share her discovery of God's law and the spiritual interpretation of the Bible.— (Mrs.) Minnie A.
