I am very grateful to our Father-Mother God...
I am very grateful to our Father-Mother God for Christian Science and for the peace of mind that I have found through the study of the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. I am especially grateful for a healing which my son experienced after being injured in an automobile accident. He was taken to a hospital in another city. When I arrived there I was told that he had only about two hours to live, as he had a basal skull fracture and several minor injuries, including a fractured jaw.
I registered him as a Christian Scientist and intended to take him home as soon as he recovered consciousness. A devoted Christian Science practitioner worked for him, but he remained in an unconscious condition, and other alarming symptoms appeared.
I decided to take him home, however, against the advice of the doctors and nurses, who predicted that death or imbecility was inevitable. He was brought home, and a Christian Science nurse lovingly assisted us. The practitioner continued treatment, and a few hours after his arrival he regained consciousness. From then on his progress was rapid. A dentist, who removed a loosened tooth, was amazed at the healing of the fractured jaw, as it had knitted normally without any material aid.
A few weeks later, when he was examined in order to return to work, the doctors passed him as entirely fit. He had also been healed of the need of wearing glasses. Both he and I are grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church. In closing I wish to express deep gratitude for class instruction.—(Mrs.) Hazel Betz, Owosso, Michigan.
I am very grateful for the healing that my mother has related and for the many others which I have experienced. Divine protection was mine on several occasions while I was serving with the Marines during the Korean War. I am grateful for the knowledge that I have of Christian Science.
