I am indeed grateful that I can testify to the power of Christian Science and its benefits in my life. Each time I make a demonstration of God's love I am overjoyed, and I know that there are thousands of others who are also demonstrating the great truth that Mrs. Eddy has given us through her writings. The evidence of this fact is shown in the testimonies given at Wednesday meetings in Churches of Christ, Scientist, and in our periodicals, which are helping thousands more to greater harmony.

An understanding of Christian Science has brought our family many physical healings, especially during our raising of four children. For this I am grateful, but for the wonderful peace of mind and protection that Christian Science affords us, my gratitude is unlimited.

On December 7, 1941, our family was in Honolulu, staying at Pearl Harbor while my husband was on a trip to Midway Island. As the enemy attack began, I truly realized that God is the only cause and power, the creator of good alone. The attack was carried on all around us. Shrapnel fell near, but we were divinely protected through the whole experience.

Although there was danger from submarines, we had a safe trip back to the mainland. Our home, which had been rented, was suddenly vacated; so we had our own home to go to. My husband returned safe and unharmed from his mission, and by the first of the year we were all together again.

This is just one of many instances we have had of God's protecting power and guidance in time of trouble. I am humbly grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her perseverance against all odds in giving Christian Science to the world and for our wonderful literature, which inspires us to greater heights.
