Words are inadequate to express...

Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for Christian Science. It has been proved to me that when this Science is rightly applied it never fails.

On page 175 of Science and Health our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, writes: "What an abuse of natural beauty to say that a rose, the smile of God, can produce suffering! The joy of its presence, its beauty and fragrance, should uplift the thought, and dissuade any sense of fear or fever." One of my first healings in Christian Science was that of hay fever. Before I took up the study of Science it was necessary on several occasions for me to be excused from my work because of the discomfort caused by this so-called allergy. The words quoted above so impressed me when I began the study of this beautiful and practical religion that I soon found myself completely free from hay fever.

A testing time came when I was on a motor trip through New Mexico several years ago with some friends. We encountered a dust storm so dense that visibility was limited. Although other persons in the car, who were not Christian Scientists, were commenting on the effect the dust was having on them, I felt so aware of the allness of God, good, that I experienced no discomfort whatsoever.
