Healing of Misconceptions of Christian Science

West Virginia

On page 141 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy says: "The adoption of scientific religion and of divine healing will ameliorate sin, sickness, and death." "Let it have fair representation by the press. Give to it the place in our institutions of learning now occupied by scholastic theology and physiology, and it will eradicate sickness and sin in less time than the old systems, devised for subduing them, have required for self-establishment and propagation." One of the duties of a Committee on Publication is to see, so far as possible, that our pulpits do justice to Christian Science and that it has fair representation in the press.

There are, in these days, very few misrepresentations appearing in the press, except trivial ones, that, to quote from the booklet of General Instructions to Committees, "maybe left safely to the good sense of fair-minded readers."
