With deep humility and sincere gratitude I write this testimony of Christian Science healing. For many years I had been a member of an orthodox church, attending services regularly and helping in its various activities. However, there came a time when I was not satisfied with its teachings. I know now that God was leading me to Christian Science, even though I was passing through very deep waters.

At the suggestion of a member of my family I went to talk with a practitioner, and from that very moment I knew that I had found the pearl of great price and that my searching was over. In that first interview I was completely healed of the smoking habit and also of social drinking.

I should also like to tell of the following healing, which took place a few years ago. I had been attending a very beautiful service at a Church of Christ, Scientist, and on leaving I fell on a large boulder and severely injured one of my shoulders, causing a separation of the bones. My only thought was, God is the only presence, and He is right here with me. I clung steadfastly to this statement. Much love was expressed by all around me. For several weeks I was cared for in a nursing home for Christian Scientists, and help was given me by a most loving and sincere practitioner.

My progress was rapid; I was not confined to my bed at any time, and the complete healing that resulted has been permanent. I am sure that a great deal of spiritual growth was gained at this time, thus proving that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1).

The healings which I have received since learning that God is the only presence and power and that we are His beloved children are many, and much comfort and peace are mine. I am so happy to be a member of The Mother Church and a branch church; also to have had the privilege of class instruction from a consecrated teacher.
