Over thirty years ago I was suffering from what the doctors called an incurable case of rheumatism. My limbs became stiff, and I could not bend my knees without much pain. Two physicians claimed they could do nothing to heal me.

My brother, who had become interested in Christian Science, brought a copy of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, to our home; and he told me of many people who had been healed by reading and studying this book. I immediately began reading Science and Health. After reading only a few paragraphs I was greatly encouraged; and I felt that God would heal me as He had healed others. Then and there I was willing to forsake all material aids, and I decided to turn wholeheartedly to God.

The first night error tried to tempt me with the thought that I should put the liniment bottle on a chair by my bed in case I should need it; but knowing and declaring God's allness and His power to heal, I took a firm stand for Truth. I slept all night and wakened in the morning without pain or stiffness of any kind, completely healed. Since then I have never had a trace of rheumatism.

I am grateful for many other experiences proving God's protection. At one time I fell down seven cement steps into the basement; then I thought, You are not hurt, and you know the reason why. I was not hurt and had no aftereffects.

Among other blessings that are mine are the blessed privilege of class instruction and the opportunity of participating in the activities of a branch church.
