It is a blessing to tell others of the healings I have experienced during a lifetime in Christian Science. My mother was a devoted Christian Scientist, and our family felt the protection of God at all times through her consecration. Later, when I had a family of my own, I realized that I had been depending too much on my mother to solve my problems; so I began to do my own daily study in earnest.

Early in our married life my husband, although trained for another type of work, labored very hard on a farm, and he received small wages. I was encouraged by Mrs. Eddy's statement (Science and Health, pp. 517, 518): "Divine Love blesses its own ideas, and causes them to multiply,—to manifest His power. Man is not made to till the soil. His birthright is dominion, not subjection." While my husband was at work one day, a fellow college student recognized him and told him of a better job, but said that it required passing an examination. My husband was glad to try; he passed and was employed in this position for over thirty years. we have always been grateful for this guidance of divine Love and to the friend.

We have had many physical healings in our family of four children, among which were so-called children's diseases, whooping cough, mumps, and skin diseases. A son was instantaneously healed of a very severe case of croup through my reading to him from Science and Health. We have also had wonderful protection on automobile trips.

I am very grateful for our Sunday Schools and for all the activities of The Mother Church. Class teaching, yearly association meetings, and the privilege of helping in a newly organized Christian Science Society are blessings I am enjoying. —(Mrs.) Nellie H. Potter, New Port Richey, Florida.
