PERFECT LOVE

With diligence I tried to see
My neighbor in his purity,
Obeying understandingly,
"Love one another."

And yet there seemed to be no cause
For love, so much to give it pause,
Apart from winning divine applause
For love to a brother.

Then dawned the reason. It was this:
To see the perfect child of His,
For that is what he really is.
"Love one another."
