Christian Science Committees on Publication CORRECT FALSE STATEMENTS ABOUT SCIENCE

[From annual reports]

Oregon

The correction of inaccurate references to Christian Science on the radio comes within the scope of our duties. Three such cases were dealt with during the period covered by this report. Two Portland stations took immediate steps to correct mistakes which were made, and a station in Klamath Falls allowed us an opportunity to read a reply to an erroneous reference to Christian Science made the previous week.

Our replies to news stories in six newspapers were, through the good work of our Assistants, printed in full as submitted. An advertisement in another paper, relating Christian Science to theosophy, astrology, and mental science, was successfully dealt with. Our representative in Florence had a satisfactory interview with a local minister whose unpublished references to Christian Science had been brought to our attention.
