Chronic kidney trouble vanishes within a week

If I were to try to count the blessings I have had since I first came in contact with Christian Science, I should have to admit that they are so numerous they "cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude" (I Kings 3:8).

Whatever the material claim which has had to be met, however stubborn it may have seemed to be, it has disappeared in the light of Truth, with the help of a practitioner or through my own understanding, and left no trace. Thus I was healed within a week of what had been diagnosed as chronic kidney disease, and of blood poisoning in the face within a few hours, and of burns on my face, arms, and hands during the declaration of spiritual truths. I have been healed of many other sicknesses, injuries, and inharmonies in daily affairs.

Several times during the war years when the all-out air raids were in progress, I was able to entertain protective thoughts of Truth, whereby in my consciousness the appalling spectacle, the paralyzing fear, hence the whole material occurrence and its effects, were counteracted. Once when a fire caused by an incendiary bomb raged in a room above our apartment, our home remained unharmed through my steadfast understanding of the fact that God's protecting power is greater than any apparent conflagration.

Realization of the infinite opportunities given by God and of His infinite love and harmony is a constant reassurance to me of abundant supply in the present time of seeming distress.

As gratifying as was the freedom from inharmonious conditions, my most wonderful experience was the recognition of the spiritual lesson each healing brought with it. The sum of my experiences gave me the certainty that God's guidance is ever available and that therefore there is neither stagnation nor retrogression. Through Christian Science I have learned that it is God's will that His perfection should be manifested in all things.
