I feel that I must now express...

I feel that I must now express my thanks for Christian Science, and I do so with great joy.

One healing that stands out occurred many years ago. I was suffering from shingles all around my body. Nobody, including my family and some visitors, knew anything about the condition, and I was able to go about my daily duties. The healing was quickly made with the help of a practitioner.

In October, 1947, a bus ran into my car and crushed it against a tree, wrecking it completely. When I regained consciousness, I found myself on a stretcher. I realized at once that nothing had happened to my real self. Then I gave the telephone number of a practitioner and asked that she be told what had happened. I also gave my name and some other instructions, as I was due to meet my daughter at a certain time and place.

I was taken to a hospital where I was X-rayed and six stitches were put in my head. My hands and feet were not hurt, but the rest of my body was bruised. That night I was watched carefully. The next evening I was in my own home, sixteen miles away, giving thanks continually for all the loving help given me and knowing that I was healed. To the material world the healing seemed a miracle, particularly on account of my age.

An experience like this advances one further in Science, with more understanding and gratefulness for Mrs. Eddy's teaching.—(Mrs.) Amy Bettina Carey, Radway, Warwickshire, England.
