It is with a heart overflowing with love and gratitude to God that I submit this testimony.

Having been in Science for over twenty years, I had had very little to overcome physically. Then without warning I was stricken with facial paralysis. It became increasingly difficult for me to chew, to speak clearly, or to close the left eye. I clung to the truth as set down by Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health (p. 151), "Every function of the real man is governed by the divine Mind," and I persisted in claiming dominion over my body. I knew that it could perform its functions harmoniously under the government of divine Mind.

Throughout this entire experience I sought to express a deep sense of love and gratitude for my many blessings, holding fast to the thought that this was an opportunity to prove the truth that had blessed me so amply throughout the years. It was comforting and healing to know that the real man remained untouched by what the material senses tried so hard to make me believe. During this experience it became clear to me that by remaining in seclusion I should have less to meet and could better devote myself to the sole purpose of demonstrating the truth. I am most grateful for the loving help of a consecrated practitioner, upon whom I was able to call during the day as well as during the many nights when fear tried to manifest itself in my thinking. In less than three weeks the trouble was entirely met and a complete healing effected.

For membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church I give daily thanks. I am humbly appreciative of the blessed privilege of class instruction, which helped me immeasurably through the above experience. I am most grateful to Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader, for bringing this blessed truth to us, for it surely is an illumination of the Scriptures, bringing to us spiritual healing, comfort, and blessings incalculable.—(Mrs.) Fay Sherman, Beverly Hills, California.

Mine is indeed the happy, humble privilege of corroborating my wife's testimony. To see Truth overcome error in what was such an alarming manifestation to physical sense strengthened my faith and spurred my progress in the understanding that Christian Science is a practical, demonstrable religion. Being a professional man, though not a physician, I was particularly impressed and greatly helped by witnessing this wonderful healing.

I too am unutterably thankful for the blessed privilege of membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church and for the invaluable aid which class instruction has afforded me in furthering my study and progress in Science.
