CHILD OF GOD

Which birth do you commemorate?
Is it your natal day you celebrate?
Or was your birth that glorious day
When Christ came to your thought to stay?

Are your years numbered from babyhood?
Or from that joyous gain of good,
Understanding, joy, and peace
That brought you gentle, sweet release
From sorrow and the fowler's snare,
To which all mortal men are heir?

Man has no age; God lives in the forever.
And so with you, not birth nor death can sever
The child from God, his Father and his Mother.
