It is with gratitude that I write this testimony to the healing power of God as made available in Christian Science.

Our boy, when five years of age, was taken ill with spinal fever. He was under the care of a physician for two months, after which time the doctor said he could do nothing more for him and that he would always be cross-eyed, a cripple, and a hunchback.

I then told my husband that I was going to have Christian Science treatment for the boy. I took him in his baby carriage to my aunt, who was a student of Christian Science. We arrived in the morning, and he was given a treatment. He slept until lunch time. Then we wheeled his carriage to the table, and he raised himself up and looked around. To my surprise the hump on his back had entirely disappeared. In three days' time his eyes were straight.

I then felt that he would have to learn to walk again, so I placed him on a quilt on the floor and went about my household duties, knowing and declaring the truth that God's child reflects normal activity. Soon I heard a noise and found the little one walking around a chair. He played all day in the house, and the next day played with other little children.

Shortly after this, while out on an errand with the child. I met the doctor who had attended him. He examined the boy's eyes and back and then shook his head and said it was truly a miracle. Our son has now grown to manhood and is entirely normal.
