Christian Science came into our home when I was a small child. At that time my mother visited a Christian Science practitioner as a last resort after the medical doctors told her she must submit to an operation for ulcers of the stomach. During her first talk with the practitioner my mother, who had been a registered nurse, was convinced of the truth of this Science, and a complete healing followed.

This healing took place over twenty years ago, and during the ensuing years Christian Science, when conscientiously applied, has solved our every problem, whether physical, mental, or financial. As a girl in high school I suffered from recurring headaches which necessitated my staying in a darkened room for a day at a time. Persistent application of the truth as taught in Christian Science eliminated the headaches. Always I have experienced wonderful protection from contagious diseases, undesirable relationships, accidents, and other guises which evil would assume in order to gain recognition.

Upon graduation from college I obtained employment at a time when it was said no openings in the journalistic line existed for women. My marriage a few years later was another example of the blessings which unfold to us when divine guidance is earnestly sought. Although my husband served in the Army for more than four years during the recent conflict, we were not separated, and our sense of home remained intact. Comfortable housing was available to us at each post.

The birth of our son amazed the medical nurses in attendance, as there was no period of labor. A nurse whom my husband told of the harmonious and rapid delivery said, "I have heard of one similar case, and the woman was a Christian Scientist." My husband informed her that his wife also was a Christian Scientist, and the nurse replied, "Then that accounts for it." For this recognition of Christian Science healing I am most grateful.

My desire is to so apply the teachings of Science that others will see and honor the power of God.

No testimony would be complete without an acknowledgment of gratitude for Mrs. Eddy. I am grateful also for Primary class instruction and for the blessing of membership in The Mother Church. I am thankful to the man; devout men and women who carry on the healing work of Christian Science, contribute to its periodicals, serve as church officers, and have dedicated their lives to demonstrating Jesus' promise, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).—(Mrs.) Betty Rhoades Voss, Palo Alto, California.

I am glad to verify the testimony of our daughter. Years ago, when the doctors told me I had not long to live, I turned to Christian Science and was healed. Over ten years ago I was healed of the tobacco habit, and since that time Christian Science has been my only physician. —Lonnie Bales, Los Gatos, California.

I also wish to verify the testimony of our daughter. For over twenty years I have relied entirely upon Christian Science, and it has never failed. I am grateful for Primary class instruction and for membership in The Mother Church as well as in a branch church.
