Three years ago an alarming condition developed with my teeth. I could not eat, drink anything hot or cold, or even clean my teeth without much pain. I went to a dentist to see if there were cavities. and he informed me that there was erosion in every tooth. He said that the teeth would have to be extracted. Disturbed. I went back to my hotel with the idea of calling a Christian Science practitioner. Then the definition of "substance" came to my thought from page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I began to work for myself in Christian Science and I am very grateful to say that in two weeks' time I was completely free. There has been no return of the difficulty.

I should like to relate an experience I had about a year ago which awed me. In crossing a street corner I had to step in slush and ice, or over it. to reach the curb. My foot slipped and I fell, landing on my left shoulder. Something snapped, but the thought came to me (Ps. 34:20). "He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken." As I lay there I felt a movement in my shoulder as though a bone were being set by an unseen hand. A passer-by aided me to my feet, and I carried my packages home, but found I could not raise my arm to remove my hat. I worked as we are taught in Science, and the next day went to my office entirely free.

Since 1911, when I received my first treatment in Christian Science, I have had many healings. At that time I had been given six hours to live, but in two days I was healed and out of doors. The years since then have been full of blessings.

One winter I had an attack of pneumonia. The second day I called a practitioner for help. He reminded me that "a spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive" (Science and Health, p. 463). I had the proof of this statement, for in less than an hour I was completely healed.

I should also like to tell of an instantaneous healing of ptomaine poisoning. While on the train en route to California I telegraphed a practitioner for help and almost immediately after he received the message I was free. There were no aftereffects of the trouble. I have also witnessed the healing of proud flesh occasioned by a fall down stone steps.

I am very grateful for the faithful work of the practitioners who have helped me in these experiences. I am grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who was so unselfish and spiritually-minded as to give us this truth. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for class instruction.
