"Let the redeemed of the Lord...

"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so." This passage in Psalms (107:2) reminds me of all I have had to be grateful for during the ten years since I came into Christian Science. Had I never received any physical healing I should still praise God that Science is the greatest influence for good in my life. The realization that evil and hate are unreal, since God, Love, is All, has removed many false traits and habits, and is continuing to do so.

I served with the United States Army in India for nearly three years, and rejoice that many of the dark beliefs prevalent there, such as heat prostration, cholera, and ignorance, were overcome in my own experience. Through the help of a Wartime Minister, I was healed immediately of a prolonged and serious kidney ailment.

Closer daily study of the Lesson-Sermons has enabled me to be healed of dysentery, Indian typhoid, dengue fever, and what might have been a touch of malaria. My greatest demonstration resulted from seeing to some extent the unreality of death. I received word that my son and my father had passed away within six months of each other. Shortly afterward I was made graves registration officer and had to supervise the burials of many airmen and soldiers. Christian Science alone enabled me to carry on my duties. The truth of Mrs. Eddy's statement on page 66 of Science and Health was proved, "Trials are proofs of God's care."

I have seen instances of God's protection many times. Once a truck with no brakes crashed into the bamboo basha where my office was located and two feet in back of me. Also at one time when I found that I had no brakes on my jeep, a large truck coming towards me swerved to the wrong side of an intersection to allow me passage through his right of way. Another time my jeep sank rapidly into quicksand. I feel that the only thing that kept it from disappearing was my realization that God's power upheld what rightfully belonged to me.

Since becoming a student of Christian Science I have been healed of periodic colds, ivy poisoning which I had had twice annually for fifteen years, yellow jaundice, and arthritis.

My gratitude knows no bounds for Mrs. Eddy's discovery which is revealing to me God, the eternal Christ, and the real man. I am thankful for all our literature, for the practitioners, the Wartime Ministers, the church organization, the lectures, and the radio programs, my privilege in furthering the Cause among our soldiers over here, and my membership in The Mother Church.—Julius E. Levin, New Haven, Connecticut.
