My mother had taught me as a child that I was guided, governed, and protected by a supreme intelligence. And her illustration of the migrating birds, which flew over our home every spring, having neither chart nor compass, but always reaching their destination, satisfied me.

Many years were devoted to the profession of a trained medical nurse. It was while I was caring for a patient under materia medica that "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy was placed in my hands. As I began to read this precious book. I was filled with joy and inspiration. I knew I had found the answer to my prayer for a knowledge of Deity which satisfies. And like the prodigal son I felt that I had come home to the Father.

For several years I have been a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church. I am grateful for class instruction and for our association meetings; also for all the other blessings which I have received since becoming a student of Christian Science. Among these blessings are healings of a displaced bone in the arch of one foot, influenza, colds, hay fever, and hereditary heart trouble. In each instance I had help from Christian Science practitioners, for which I am deeply grateful. Many other healings have resulted over a period of years from my own demonstration of the Christ, Truth.

I shall never cease to be grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for giving humankind the true understanding of God as supreme intelligence and a clear insight into the words and works of the master Christian, Christ Jesus.
