Since the publishing of my testimony twenty-seven years ago, I have been the recipient of so many blessings that I should again like to express my gratitude for Christian Science.

My first healing took place in 1908, when my rebirth began. Faults of disposition, including selfishness, temper, unkind criticism, and resentment, gradually slipped away from me. Instead of being indifferent to the needs of others I now find my greatest joy in being helpful. In my professional life I have been protected from envy and jealousy, and enabled to rejoice in the success of others.

Christian Science has healed me of hay fever, stomach trouble, constipation, influenza, colds, a tumor on the gum, warts, and loss of my singing voice. At one time ringworm appeared on my forehead, and caused the members of my family much concern. A relative who was visiting us at the time greatly desired me to consult a physician, but I clung steadfastly to Christian Science, and was healed in a short time. My relative returned to her home in the East, and shortly afterward wrote me that the same ailment had appeared on her face. Having witnessed my healing, she, too, had sought help from a practitioner, and had been healed.

I am so grateful for our Reading Rooms, where one may study or commune with God in undisturbed quiet. Some years ago, when an abscess on my nose failed to respond to treatment, I spent most of one day in a Reading Room, realizing the truth about man. In a day or so I was completely healed.

I am grateful for the many helpful lessons that I have learned through the study of Christian Science, some of which are the following: that when tempted to believe error's lie about our fellow man we should remember that we cannot have a good God and a bad man; that instead of watching others, we need only to watch our own thoughts and keep them clear; that life is the picture we paint, and if we would be happy, we ourselves must put happiness into the picture by thinking lovely thoughts.

Words fail to express my gratitude to God, to our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for Christian Science, the study of which has brought so much joy into my life. These words of our Leader's (Miscellaneous Writings, p.113), "We have nothing to fear when Love is at the helm of thought, but everything to enjoy on earth and in heaven," have been proved true many times in my experience.—(Mrs.) Irene Lee, Los Angeles, California.
