Dedication

I have no time for sorrow.
I must go forward bearing the standard high:
Bearing the torch of Truth
To light the path of those
Still groping in the dark,
Whose hearts are touched with doubt,
Whose courage may be weak;
Whose efforts may be faint.

I must follow the trail
Through the wilderness of grief—
A pioneer—that all may find their way
Out of the tangled maze of thorns and briers
That trip unwary feet.
I have my "task of glory" to perform—
I have no time to grieve—others need
The light that joy can give.
