From the Directors

To facilitate shipments and to save transportation costs from distant points to Boston, arrangements have now been completed to ship cases of relief goods directly from New York City and Portland, Oregon, as well as from Boston. For the present all goods received by these shipping depots are to be forwarded by them to The Christian Science Wartime Committee of The Mother Church in the United Kingdom, the headquarters of which are in London, and will be distributed in the same manner as those already sent from Boston. Christian Science war relief committees and individuals throughout the United States who wish to contribute suitable clothing for relief purposes may forward their packages to any one of the shipping depots listed below, from each of which they will receive the same consideration.

It is suggested, however, that it may be more convenient, involve less expense, and avoid overloading the depots, if the committees and individuals located within the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming ship to Portland. The committees and individuals in New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, western Connecticut, and those parts of New York State which find it more convenient to do so, might use the New York depot.

From the Clerk

Tenets of The Mother Church

The printed Tenets of The Mother Church are in general use by branch churches and societies, either as a basis for their application forms for admission to membership or for binding into their by-law booklets.

Because the Tenets are copyrighted, branch organizations may not have them printed for their own use. The correct procedure is to order from the Clerk of The Mother Church the quantity desired, and then have a local printer add whatever data are necessary to the individual requirements of the branch organizations.

The Tenets are printed in two sizes. The large size measures approximately 5x8 inches, and is generally used by the branch organizations as a basis for their membership blanks. The small size measures approximately 4x6 inches, and is used chiefly for binding into by-law booklets.

Translations of the Tenets, having alternate pages in English, may be procured in German, French, Italian, and Polish. Prices for Tenets, either for English or for translations, are as follows:
Lots of 100—eitehr size $ .75
Lots of 100—50 large and 50 small .75
Lots of 50—either size .50

Unless otherwise specified, the large size will be sent. Minimum orders are for lots of 50 Tenets.

Remittances should be made payable and sent with orders to Ezra W. Palmer, Clerk, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts.

Notice

Churches and societies in Great Britain and Ireland and on the Continent are reminded that applications for lectures should be made in June by the clerks as soon as possible after the names of the lecturers assigned to these countries are announced after the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church, and not later than July 1. It would be helpful if these churches and societies in appointing their Lecture Committees would bear in mind the fact that the members of these Committees should be able to get in touch with one another at this time and throughout the summer. The lecture schedules cannot be arranged satisfactorily until ALL calls are in hand. Early applications will greatly assist in the speedy and harmonious settlement of individual dates.

This is not meant to exclude the making of an occasional extra call should the need arise in some locality.
