[Original testimony in German]

With a grateful heart I should like to bear witness to all...

With a grateful heart I should like to bear witness to all the blessings and healings which I have experienced through Christian Science.

When Christian Science came to me, eight years ago, I was in a hospital in Altenburg. I had violent pains in my abdomen and was to be operated upon. My dear sister-in-law visited me and brought with her two copies of The Herald of Christian Science. She said that if I read them often I would surely get well again. I then asked a practitioner to work for me in Christian Science. Since I was in a room alone, I was able to read the Herald; I enjoyed above all reading the testimonies of healing. One evening, a few days later, when I had been reading the Herald because I could not sleep, I suddenly felt very joyous, and a great sense of peace came over me. I fell asleep and slept the whole night, and the next morning I was healed. The fever had gone, and I was joyous and happy. A few days later I was released at my own request. I have never had any return of the pain. For this healing I am very grateful.

My little son, then one year old, was healed by Christian Science help of an ugly rash on his face, and of two fractures.

More recently I had a glorious proof of God's infinite love. For many years I had suffered from a feeling of injustice because of a sad experience. But loving help was given me. My thinking was lifted from the physical and material to the blessed knowledge of the spiritual and eternal. I kept my thought, as I was bidden, steadfastly on the one infinite Father-Mother God, who governs our human affairs. Then the turning point in the problem came, and a just, harmonious solution was brought about.

I am inexpressibly grateful to the kind practitioner who continually showed me with tireless and sincere love the way I should go. I give heartfelt thanks to our God, who, through His love, has led me; also gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy. It is my desire to have more of that Mind "which was also in Christ Jesus."

With a heart filled with gratitude I should also like to add that I rejoice in membership in a branch church, and my son is grateful for attendance at Sunday school.—(Mrs.) Ella Steinert, Lindenthal bei Leipzig, Germany.
