Christian Science has done so much for my family and me that I am grateful for this opportunity to express my gratitude.

My first visit to a Christian Science church was such an inspiration to me that I had but one desire before my thought—to learn more about this beautiful religion. For this reason I visited a practitioner. Since that time we have experienced many wonderful healings in our family.

The first healing was the falling away of two warts from the hand of my young nephew. During a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in a Christian Science church, a speaker told how she was healed of a similar condition. The next morning, as I was washing the child's hands, the warts dropped off, and they have never reappeared. At another time fever was overcome with the loving help of a practitioner, and the child was normal in one day. The same little fellow fell on a heater and received second degree burns over a great portion of his body. I could not reach a practitioner at the time, but in the light of Christian Science I saw the child's true selfhood to be perfect and spiritual. We repeated the Lord's Prayer, and before we reached his room he had stopped screaming. He was soon fast asleep, and slept all night. This was the end of his suffering. His mother, who was not a Christian Scientist, called a physician in the morning to dress the burns. Even this proved painless to him, and he insisted upon going to school and taking part in a play to be given that day.

A remarkable healing of disposition has taken place in the thought of another nephew as the natural result of reading the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, from the Bible and the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. A sprained ankle and a sprained back were quickly healed by repeating "the scientific statement of being," as given on page 468 of our textbook.

One Christian Science treatment given by a loving practitioner healed my mother of intense suffering from bronchial asthma and pneumonia after several physicians had failed to help her. Her healing took place in the night. She arose and dressed the next morning, and within a few days was strong enough to travel alone to California. The practitioner was two thousand miles from the patient, whom she had never seen, thus proving true Mrs. Eddy's statement in Science and Health (p. 78): "If Spirit pervades all space, it needs no material method for the transmission of messages. Spirit needs no wires nor electricity in order to be omnipresent."

Christian Science has healed me of functional disorders, skin trouble, and influenza, and has corrected some unlovely traits of character. With the help of a practitioner I was quickly healed of severe headaches and acute neuralgia. Wrong thoughts have frequently been corrected during church services, and I have received many healings during the singing of our hymns. Christian Science has come to my aid in finding a harmonious home, and has been a protecting and guiding influence in my life. I am increasingly grateful for every activity of this great movement.
