It is with a heart filled with gratitude for what Christian Science has done for my family and me that I submit the following testimony.

When my son was about one year old he became ill with swollen glands of the neck. Our family physician pronounced the condition diseased tonsils. After he removed the tonsils, the condition remained unchanged. Later, two more operations were performed without benefit followed by a tuberculin test made by three physicians, including a child specialist. They reported to us that the test had proved to be positive, and they recommended that we submit the child to a five-year course of treatment for tuberculosis.

Soon afterward my sister was beautifully healed of heart trouble through Christian Science treatment. Deeply impressed, I obtained a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and studied it earnestly. I also had my son enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School. He received a complete healing through this method alone.

A few years later he applied for membership in the Y. M. C. A., to avail himself of swimming and other sports offered, and passed the required physical examination. Later he passed a test for life insurance. Recently he passed the medical entrance test at college.

A practitioner treated me for an attack of influenza which apparently developed into pneumonia on a Christmas eve. My daughter again telephoned the practitioner, who called her attention to a reference from Science and Health as follows (p. 329): "To be discouraged, is to resemble a pupil in addition, who attempts to solve a problem of Euclid, and denies the rule of the problem because he fails in his first effort." I clung to this reference during the night, and although my condition had seemed to be critical, I was free the following morning, and fulfilled a Christmas dinner engagement.—(Mrs.) Flora Eichenberger, Portland, Oregon.

I am grateful to verify the healings related in the foregoing testimony.

My mother enrolled me in a Christian Science Sunday School when I was nine years of age. It was one of the richest blessings of my life to have the privilege of remaining in the Sunday school until I reached the age of twenty years.
